Super Hero Omega 3 Kids Fish Oil for Kids by Bare Biology provides all the Omega 3 that growing bodies need. Suitable from 6 months to 12 years – just one drop of oil has as much of the good stuff as a tin of sardines, that’s 475mg of DHA. And our teeny taste-testers give it a big thumbs-up. Omega 3 is essential for growing brains, eyes and bodies. But with the best will in the world, it can be tricky to get kids to eat plates of oily fish.
No other supplement comes close. It’s natural, pure, and its mild lemony flavour tastes great. For the super reluctant, just add a drop to cold food or drink.
As with all Bare Biology products, each batch is certified and awarded a 5-star purity and quality rating from International Fish Oil Standards. Bare Biology fish are sustainably caught from clean, wild waters and FOS & IFFO-RS certified fisheries.
Omega 3 is probably the most well researched nutrient when it comes to helping young brains develop. It may be helpful in children with hyperactivity, dyslexia, dyspraxia, anxiety and antisocial behaviour. More information and references can be found at Food & Behaviour Research, Oxford University.
Ingredients: Natural triglyceride-form fish oil from sardines, anchovies and mackerel (smaller fish with fewer contaminants), Natural Sicilian lemon oil to give it a lovely taste, a tiny amount of Vitamin E (tocopherol) to naturally preserve.
Per 1ml drop
Total Omega 3
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)
Other Omega 3s
Vitamin E (tocopherol)
Instructions: Suitable from 6 months to 12 years. Each 1ml drop (100 per bottle) contains 693mg Omega 3 (465mg DHA & 133mg EPA). Just one 1ml drop of Super Hero a day gives most children all the Omega 3 they need.
If yours are eight or older, they can go up to two drops a day. It’s best to give Super Hero to children at mealtimes. It’s easier to make it a fun habit this way, and the omega 3 is better absorbed alongside food. Super Hero tastes great – you can just pop a drop into your child’s mouth straight from the syringe. For the very reluctant, just mix it into anything cold: juice, a smoothie, yogurt or salad dressing. Keep your Super Hero in the fridge once you’ve opened it.
Once they hit the teenage years, it’s five drops a day. Or you may want to switch to Lion Heart liquid – it’s stronger and has a better EPA to DHA ratio for this age group.
Please remember that even with supplements like this one, children still need to run and play and eat their greens. Super Hero is marvellous, but it isn’t magic.
And it’s always good to check with your doctor before using supplements like this one if your child: is on any medication, such as blood thinners, is about to have surgery, has health concerns or conditions.
